Issues like stress, depression, anxiety, and relationship problems significantly impact a student’s academic functioning not to mention his/her general well-being. Learn how to improve your own mental health. Call our office or come by to get information. We have: Books and Pamphlets The Counseling Center maintains a small library of self-help books on a variety of subjects (e.g. overcoming depression, stress management, improving relationships, recovery from substance abuse). ETSU students, faculty and staff are welcome to come by our office to pick up free copies of pamphlets or to check out a self-help book. Internet Information There is a tremendous amount of information about mental health issues available on the internet. LGBT Resources Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender people face tremendous intolerance, bigotry, discrimination, and oppression in our society. These problems are fueled by misinformation.
