Employment Opportunities
Disability Services office depends on volunteers, student workers, and graduate assistants to assist with providing services to ETSU students with disabilities. There are various opportunities for volunteers and student employees. Some position descriptions include:
Sign Language
Interpreters
Immediate Opening for Qualified Sign Language
Interpreters. Minimum of three years interpreting experience
preferred and/or certification from NAD, RID, or equivalent state
interpreting assessment or ITP graduate.
Interpreter
Policy
Readers
Readers read test, instructions, assignments, and other materials to
students with disabilities.
Writers
Writers or scribes take dictation for students with disabilities. They may
assist with test proctoring or notetaking.
Graduate
Assistants
Graduate assistants fill positions as adaptive technology center
assistant, academic accommodation, peer mentor, and case management
assistant.
