We are delighted that you will be living on campus this fall.  We have approximately 500 Preview participants moving into Governors, Centennial, and Davis on Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 6 am – 1 pm. Note: We are offering an early bird move-in on Thursday for Preview participants in these three halls only beginning at 6am. On Friday, August 28, other residents can begin moving in at 8am.

 

 In order to make the move-in go more smoothly for everyone on Thursday and Friday, we will be blocking off Lake Street, Bible Drive, and Stout Drive for unloading from 6am-2pm on Thursday and 8am-5pm on Friday only. Please see the move in map and move in plan at this link. The plan is to get you to your hall as near as possible, unload quickly, and then move your vehicle to Lots 4-8, so that others can drive in to unload.

 

We are encouraging you to park in lots nearer to your hall/room locations.  For instance, the room number for Governors begins at 100, 200, 300, on the Stout Drive side of Governors while the larger number rooms of 337, 437, etc. are on the Southwest Avenue side of Governors.  Please see the campus map at this link .  Axis Security personnel will be available as parking/traffic guides, along with Public Safety, wearing vests to assist with traffic flow in these lots and around the east side of campus. Please do not park on the grass. There will be volunteers from student organizations that will be around the halls to assist with unloading and moving items to the rooms.


Governor residents please follow these instructions:


If your room is on 1st or 2nd floor, or rooms 300-336; 400-437; and 500-537, please enter Bible Drive or Lake Street from Southwest Ave. If living in rooms 337-389; 437-489; 537-589; and sixth floor, please use parking lots 11, 12, 13, and 14 that can be accessed from University Parkway on to Southwest Avenue. Resident must check in at the First floor lobby and have ID card.

Centennial residents please follow these instructions:  


The room numbers such as 100, 200, 300, and etc. begin on the east side near University Parkway. You may park in Lots 6-8 or enter Bible Drive from University Parkway on to Southwest Avenue.  Resident must check in at the first floor lobby with ID card. 

Davis Apartments residents please follow these instructions:


Davis residents may park in Lots 7, 8, 10, and 11 or enter the drop –off circle off of Southwest Ave. The drop off is for unloading, and then moving your vehicle out quickly so others can park and unload. Residents may check in at the Davis Office Building C-141.

 

All Residents must do the following at check-in:   

                                                              

1. Present ID. Complete the Information/Inventory/Assessment Card (IIA card) which asks for some basic information, such as emergency contact number. Carefully check the condition of your room and note any discrepancies. You are responsible for any damaged/missing items upon check out.                          

2. You will receive/sign a Community Standards Statement.            

3. You will be given your Preview ETSU participant schedule and name tag. 


4. Once all paperwork is completed and checked by the floor RA, you will bring it back to the lobby to return to staff and have your ID card encoded to gain access to your hall/room.
