Communication

The Department of Housing and Residence Life uses several means of communicating to students, both during the academic year and during the summers.

Fliers - Take note of special notices and announcements of events in your residence hall advertised by flier.

Individual Email - The Department communicates personal student information to official ETSU Goldmail accounts only.  If you are an incoming student who has not yet received a Goldmail account, we will use the email you have provided us until you receive a Goldmail account.  At that time, your contact information will be automatically updated in our database.

Mass Emails - The Department works to limit the amount of mass email sent, but on occasion it is necessary to broadcast messages to the full campus population or to small subgroups such as a single hall or floor.

ETSU Housing Webpage - updates and events will be regularly updated on our main webpage.

ETSU Housing on Facebook - The Department maintains a Facebook page for announcements, feedback, and general fun discussions.  Students wishing to participate should become a fan on the Facebook site.

Public Address - some buildings are equipped with Public Address systems allowing for building-wide announcements.

Official Notice to Respond - on occasion, a staff member may leave an Official Notice to Respond in a student's room.  This is an important message for the student to get in touch with Housing staff for urgent business.

Incident follow-up Notification - this is a notice to a student to let them know that an incident report has been written and a follow up will be sent to the student's goldmail account. 

Students wishing to contact us may do so by emailing the general email at , by emailing individual staff, or by calling.  Please include your Enumber in any emailed correspondence, and use your Goldmail account if your question is regarding personal information.
