Room Change at Winter Break
Changing Rooms or Buildings over the Winter Break? Special Rules Apply
I want to stay in my same room for Spring term:
You don’t have to do anything. You may leave your belongings in your room over the break. You do NOT have to take them home. Simply follow the guidelines published in the Winter Break Notice for when the halls will close and re-open.
I want to change to a different room or building for the Spring term:
Complete a request to move at the Housing Office. If you are changing rooms, you must completely remove your belongings and check out of your original assignment at the end of the Fall term, and before leaving for Winter Break. You will be allowed to move in to your new assignment when the residence halls re-open in January. There is no storage available on campus, so belongings must either be taken home for the break or stored off campus at the student’s expense.
I am not returning to ETSU for the Spring term:
File a request to cancel housing form at the Housing Office as soon as possible. You will be required to remove your belongings and check out after your last final exam of the Fall term. Important Note: This applies only to students who will NOT be enrolled at ETSU for Spring, or who meet other criteria for an automatic cancellation (marriage or academic internship). If you will be enrolled for Spring, your contract must be appealed and your appeal to cancel may be denied.
