The residence hall staff--resident director (RD) and resident advisor (RA)--are graduate and undergraduate students who have been carefully selected and trained to manage the residence halls. Staff members are available to advise and counsel individuals and student groups, coordinate hall programs and activities, administer housing policies and procedures, be an information and referral source, and foster an environment in which students can live together in mutual respect. Additional support staff from the Physical Plant and Department of Public Safety provides services such as maintenance, custodial, and security which insure a safer and more pleasant living environment.
