HOMECOMING 5K ROAD RACE and BUC WALK
1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 8
The ETSU Homecoming 5K Road Race will once again be hosted by Campus Recreation and all proceeds will once again be donated to Habitat for Humanity. However, the similarities to the homecoming road races of the past stop there.
One of the changes to the road race is the actual course for the road race. The newly routed course will begin at the Basler Center, weave through the ETSU campus, go through Campus Recreation’s new fitness loop and conclude on the Front Yard intramural field for an accurate 3.1 mile 5K race.
Campus Recreation will present the top male and female finishers for faculty / staff and student with an award plaque and road race shirt.
Top three finishers in different age classifications will be awarded medals.
There will also be food and drinks available for participants of the event the as well as music and other activities designed to turn what was once a routine homecoming activity into a new and exciting event.
The entry fee for the race will be $5 for ETSU students and $10 for general public which will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.
Registration will begin at noon, Sunday November 8 for both events. The Buc Walk will begin at 1:30 p.m. The 5K will begin at 2:00.
