Class Descriptions

 

Green:  Great for Beginners

Blue:  Beginner/Intermediate

Red:  Intermediate/Advanced

 

This key is to help you judge the intensity at which the class is taught.  Please keep in mind that ALL classes are for you and we can make them as individual as you need.  All can be modified!

 

 

STRENGTH AND TONING

 

Abs: Tone, strengthen and tighten your core with simple abdominal and lower back exercises.

 

Buns and Guns:  One hour of weight training targeting your arms, hips, thighs and buttocks.  Get ready for the burn!

 

Tone and Sculpt:  One hour of weight training for the whole body.  This class uses free weights, medicine balls, tubes, body bars and more.

 

Flex-N-Pump:  Total body weight training using a bar, plates, and free weights.  Each muscle group is specifically targeted for a timed interval.  This workout is amazing for total body toning!

 

 

CARDIO EXERCISES

 

Step:  A high-energy cardio class that alternates between beginning and

intermediate step choreography for a total body workout.

 

Cardio Kick Box:  Kick start your cardio!  This class combines boxing, martial arts and aerobics for a fun and challenging workout.

 

Boot Camp:  This ain't your momma's aerobics class!  Improve strength, stamina, speed, and agility with this circuit.  Intervals of low, medium and high intensity will give you an ultra effective workout.

 

20/20/20: Anything goes! From Step to Kickboxing to Toning to Intervals, you'll never be bored in this class. Each section will last 20 minutes including the warm up, cool down and stretch!

 

ZUMBA:  ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music and dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective workout! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

 

Aqua Fitness:  Gain muscular strength/endurance as well as a cardio workout.  This format has all the benefits of low impact land-based fitness without the stress to your joints.  Perfect for all fitness levels.

 

Indoor Cycle:  Go for a ride!  Come and enjoy this low impact exercise at your own pace while maintaining a heart pounding cardio workout.  Bring a water bottle and pick up some towels…you will need them.

 

Yoga Class Descriptions:

 

~ Vinyasa Flow: All the elements of a flowing, vigorous practice come together as we connect the mind and body to the rhythm of the breath. Flow through an intelligent and creative sequence as we inspire your greatest potential physically and emotionally. Adequate for all levels of practice & an excellent complement to any training program.

 

~ Power Vinyasa: A more vigorous style of practice that flows with the breath to an intelligent sequence of postures. Creates internal heat and detoxification, as well as a calm mind and healthy body. Focus on alignment and breathing. Suitable for intermediate to advanced practitioners, yet adequate for all levels of practice.

 

~ Lunch Break: Do yourself a favor and take the time to release deeply rooted tension and connect to positive energy in the middle of the day. Get the benefits of a great flowing yoga practice and deep relaxation in only an hour! All levels welcome.

 

~ Guided Meditation: Journey through the chakras (energy centers) of the body as we connect the physical to the emotional & allow prana (life force/energy) to flow easily throughout the body. Approach practice with deliberate intention and inner focus as we release tension and blockages & inspire the intuitive Self to heal the body, mind, & soul from within. All welcome!

DANCE, MARTIAL ARTS, PILATES

 

Ballet:  This class is for anyone who wants to learn.  Ballet shoes are recommended but not required.  NO experience necessary!

 

Belly Dance:  This class is identified by swaying hips, undulating torso, and articulated isolations employed in a range of dynamic and emotional expressions. Characteristic movements in the dance include curving patterns, undulations, thrusts, lifts, locks and drops and shaking or quaking body movements. The focus is on isolated movements of individual parts of the body with little notice given to the footsteps.

 

Pilates:  Pilates builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen.  It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. The workout improves flexibility, agility and economy of motion. It can even help alleviate back pain.
