Student Employment Application

Campus Recreation is one of ETSU's largest users of student labor.

Students are hired to perform as:

  • aerobics instructors
  • front-office workers
  • intramural officials
  • lifeguards
  • personal trainers
  • Basler Challenge Course Staff
  • weight room attendants
  • The aerobics instructor and lifeguard positions require certification.  Graduate assistantships are also available.  The Department of Campus Recreation utilizes all of ETSU's student work programs which include the Academic Performance Scholarship, the Federal Work Study Program, and the Regular Student Work Program.  Funds to pay skilled students (certified) who fail to qualify for aid are also available.  Pay is $6.55 per hour.  Students who work for Campus Recreation enjoy a challenging work environment,  flexible hours, and an opportunity to contribute to their campus.  Studies have indicated that students employed on campus are retained in school at a higher rate than those who work off campus or those who do not work at all. Applications can be obtained in the front of office of the Basler Center or by clicking here for an online application that you can fill out and return to the Basler Center or mail in to ETSU Campus Recreation, Box 70585, Johnson City, TN 37614.
