Sherrod Library Services with your ID CardThe barcode on the front of the ID Card is used to check out books and other materials from the Sherrod Library. Your ID card is also required to go on-line to gain access to library services. Copying - The Sherrod Library also uses the smaller magnetic stripe on the back of the ID card to access the library copy system. You must first have your ID card formatted at the front desk of the library. The next step is to add value to your ID card by inserting the card into the machine located near the copiers. It is suggested to add just $1.00 at a time as needed. If you lose your ID card, the amount on the stripe for copying is lost. Also, remember that the amount you put on your card in the library is for copying only. This is a different system from ID BUC$ or Meal Plans. Library Late Night Study Area - You will be required to swipe your ID card after normal operating hours to gain access to this area.
