ETSU Division of Theatre and DanceETSU Friends of Theatre Scholarship The ETSU Friends of Theatre Scholarship Endowment was established in the East Tennessee State University Foundation by the ETSU Friends of Theatre. Interest from the endowment will be used to award scholarships to students majoring in Theatre and/or Dance. CriteriaA scholarship applicant who applies for the scholarship as an entering freshman must graduate with a 2.5 high school GPA. A scholarship applicant already enrolled at ETSU or transferring from another college, must have a 2.5 overall GPA, and a 3.0 average in Theatre and/or Dance to be considered for the scholarship. In order to continue as a recipient from semester to semester, the student must: 2. Perform in at least one role in an ETSU Theatre and/or Dance, faculty directed production each semester and/or, work on a construction crew, running crew or in some other aspect of production, such as stage management. Involvement of ten hours per week is required. 3. Enroll in and complete a Theatre and/or Dance course each semester. 4. Enroll as a full-time student at ETSU, majoring in Theatre and/or Dance. Scholarship applications should be submitted to the Director of the Division of Theatre and Dance. The Director of Theatre and Dance shall appoint a special Theatre and Dance Scholarship Committee. The committee will select scholarship recipient's based on the above listed criteria and on competitive auditions. The final date to turn in an application for the 2008-2009 school year is: March 28, 2008. A current resume that includes at least two references is required along with the application.
