Alumni Tom Buchanan and Tanya Vance ETSU Alumni Big Tom Buchanan of television's Survivor Africa and Survivor All Stars and Tanya Vance (B.S.W., '97) of Survivor Thailand took ETSU PRIDE to the popular CBS network reality shows. Buchanan is a farmer in his hometown of Rich Valley, Virginia, and Vance puts her social work degree to use in foster care in Sullivan County, Tennessee.
