The beautiful curving facade of the Charles C. Sherrod Library enhances the campus visually. The university's newest academic facility was highlighted as an "Outstanding Building" in the 1999 Architectural Portfolio of American School and University magazine. Ken Ross Architects Inc./David Leonard Arthur served as project architect. The designers note the "central arch framing a Palladian window" repeats the entrance of the 1931 library. Sherrod Library is named for the university's second president who served from 1925-49.
