History
The ETSU Scholars' Bowl team participates every year in the Tennessee Association of Special Programs (TASP) annual Scholars' Bowl competition held in the spring. Upward Bound programs from all across the state gather together to compete for not only the opportunity to win the TASP competition, but to also have the right to compete in the
Southeastern Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (SAEOPP) Scholars' Bowl.
This competition includes a representative from Alabama, Florida, Georgia,
Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. In
2005, the ETSU team won the TASP competition and placed second in the SAEOPP
event.
In 2006, the ETSU team won the TASP competition for a second year in a row, and placed third in the SAEOPP Competition in Atlanta, GA.
