PRESIDENT'S PRIDE
A group of stellar students many times referred
to as the "best of the best" here at ETSU serve as key players in fulfilling
the mission of the University Relations. The President's Pride, founded
in 1978, boasts a membership of approximately 80 students who act as hosts
and goodwill ambassadors for ETSU. Leading the organization are three
student officers who team with the Director of University Relations, Graduate
Assistant and other colleagues in the office.
As the organization looks to celebrating 20
years of service at ETSU in 1998, it would be next to impossible to list
every event hosted by President's Pride. They have stood side-by-side
with the President of ETSU at home football games and special functions
at Shelbridge, given tours to campus visitors, assisted with fund-raising
campaigns and worked behind-the-scenes at numerous other events.
During 1995-96, President's Pride members assisted with over 45 ETSU functions.
Each spring, ETSU faculty, staff and current
Pride members are given the opportunity to nominate new members.
To be eligible, a nominee must have been an ETSU student for at least one
semester and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Each nominee completes an application form
and undergoes a personal interview with administrative staff and current
Pride personnel.

Pride assistance for your upcoming events, contact University Relations
