Garden Voices:
Stories of Women and Their Gardens Book Discussion and Signing. Countless
gardening books tell us what, when, where, and how to plant. Few explore
the reasons why gardening becomes so central and, in certain circumstances,
crucial to so many people's lives. Author Carolyn Freas Rapp explores the
relationships of women with their gardens, revealing sources of joy that
go far beyond the pleasure of harvesting flowers, herbs, or vegetables.
A reception will follow the discussion and signing. This special event is
sponsored by the ETSU Arboretum and Women's Resource Center.

SCREENING Staff of the Osteoporosis Center will conduct complimentary bone density screening from the osteoporosis mobile unit. This health-related screening is sponsored by the Cecile Cox Quillen Chair of Excellence in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology and the Women’s Resource Center. Art Exhibit Opening The enigmatic and elusive Sylvia Plath is the subject of an art exhibit during March 2005. "Searching for Sylvia" will open on Saturday, March 5, at 5:00 p.m. This is the first exhibition of this collection featuring sketches by local artist Bill Bledsoe. LOCATION: HOURS:
