July 2008

Pam Murray, B.A., M.B.A., local artist and art instructor, returns during July 2008 to conduct the three-part series "Visual Journaling." Scheduled for July 8, 15, 22, Murray will guide participants through both writing and visual expressions designed to aid participants in expressing thoughts, imaginations, and feelings of our respective personalities. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED..

 

The WRC Book Review Group is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at noon.

WOMEN MAKING HISTORY
ANNUAL LECTURE SERIES

Annually, the Women's Resource Center hosts a lecture series on women making history in the region. Past guest speakers include ETSU alumna and associate professor of law at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, Penny White, First Judicial District Circuit Court judge, The Honorable Jean Stanley, local author and editor, Anne Darden and ETSU alumna and Belmont University professor of management Dr. Susan Gentry Williams. Dr. Wilsie S. Bishop was the keynote speaker for the 2007Women Making History Lecture. Bishop holds the position of vice president for Health Affairs and university chief operating officer at East Tennessee State University.
