The Office of Prestigious Awards provides information and support of nationally competitive scholarships to ETSU students and recent graduates. Students do not necessarily need to be prepared to apply before they consult with us! Anyone can become a competitive applicant for prestigious awards opportunities with a combination of preparation, determination, and rigor. We are here to help steer you towards your goals.
BenefitsIndividuals that receive prestigious awards are often eligible for non-competitive status when applying to federal government jobs. The reputable acknowledgment of the award demonstrates to employers and graduate schools an individual's leadership and professional scholar abilities. Receiving one award can even make an individual more competitive for additional prestigious awards!
Under-Represented Student PopulationsAll opportunities are looking for diverse candidates. This includes, but is not limited to, race, ethnicity, LGBTQI*, gender, first generation college student, disability, veteran status or military affiliation, and Appalachian representation. We also recognize that some students are on the cusp of meeting the minimum requirements and strive to become competitive for the opportunities above. Our office is also for you.
