Dr. Puri’s research interests are largely directed towards “Development and evaluation of topical and transdermal drug delivery systems”. She has experience in developing patches, liquid and semi-solid formulations for topical/transdermal delivery of different drug candidates and cosmetic actives, evaluating the effects of chemical penetration enhancers on skin permeability of drugs, designing and conducting in vitro drug permeation and release studies using Franz diffusion cells, using physical enhancement techniques such as microneedles, iontophoresis, and laser ablation for permeation studies, performing in vitro microdialysis and conducting in vivo studies for testing topical formulations.
