Report on email vote of September 17, 2008 –

 

Dr. Champney reported the Graduate Council members voted by e-mail regarding the Ph.D. proposals and nineteen curriculum courses under the PEXS department that was tabled at the previous meeting. The report of the vote is in the minutes of the called September 2008 meeting. Dr. Paul Stanton wrote a hand-written thank you expressing his gratitude for all the hard work the council and subcommittee did per Dr. Champney.

 

 

 

The establishment of a certificate in Public Health Leadership will meet the growing need for individuals with both middle and upper level administrative skills in Public Health. New and continued development of the current Public Health workforce will enhance the health of our region and state. The subcommittee recommends approval with the editorial changes:

The council members discussed the standards of associate verses full for graduate faculty status. Dr. Champney suggested tabling this discussion to a later date.
