ETSU's Department of Media + Communication (MDCM) has positioned itself as a thought leader in digital literacy, curriculum design, and experiential learning. Since 2011, MDCM instructors have built Adobe Creative Cloud software directly into in their curricula. In 2016, it became the first university department to fully integrate Adobe Experience Cloud into its M.A. in Brand & Media Strategy program. As a result, ETSU MDCM is the only university-program in the nation that integrates both Creative Cloud and Experience Cloud into the curriculum.
MDCM offers courses and testing services to the general public that result in the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) credential. The ACA is the industry-recognized indicator of technical proficiencies in Adobe Creative Cloud programs: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
Adobe Premiere Pro is a widely used software applications for video editing on mac OS or Windows computers. Premiere Pro is used for editing videos, commercials and other film, television, and online video. It is a comprehensive video editing software application and is also available as part of the Adobe Creative Cloud set of applications. Premiere Pro is often used in conjunction with After Effects and Photoshop on creative projects.
The Adobe Certified Associate courses and testing are open to ETSU students, faculty and staff, and the general public. The certification test is included in the registration fee for each course. Participants will have the option to take the test on Saturday at the conclusion of the training workshop. These courses meet three days from 2:00-6:00 and the exam is given at the end of the third day.
Each course is $650 and ETSU employees can use the employee audit to pay. Click here for employee fee waiver.
