Border County Residents
Students residing in select bordering counties in North Carolina and Virginia may attend ETSU at the in-state tuition rate, and they may be considered for certain in-state scholarships.
Students who reside at an address located within the following North Carolina & Virginia counties also qualify:

Announcing an exciting reduction in tuition! ETSU introduced a new competitive tuition rate of $10,484 for residents of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Georgia. There are no GPA or financial requirements to receive this rate.
ETSU is home to nearly 14,000 students from 47 states. With our extreme reduction in out-of-state tuition, students outside our region pay $13,484 per year. You’ll find ETSU is more affordable than some of your in-state options!
