Jacob Will to perform in Guest Artist Recital

Monday, October 13, 2008JOHNSON CITY – Jacob Will, bass-baritone, will perform in a Guest Artist Recital at East Tennessee State University on Friday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Mathes Hall.

An experienced concert artist, Will has sung with symphony orchestras throughout the United States and Europe, including the New York Philharmonic, Berlin Radio Symphony, San Francisco Symphony and Vienna Symphonic Orchestra. He has appeared at the Cabrillo Festival in Santa Cruz, Calif., and the International Bach Festival of Schaffhausen, Switzerland. In addition, he has performed with national and international operas, including those in New York City; San Francisco; Zurich, Switzerland; and Vancouver, British Columbia.

Will, a native of Hartsville, S.C., attended Furman University in Greenville, S.C. and graduated from the University of South Carolina and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. He is an assistant professor of voice in the School of Music at South Carolina.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
