Basler Chair of Excellence for the Integration of the Arts, Rhetoric and Science at ETSU. Leonard, a Kingsport native, has specialized in the Middle East since 1950, working in that region as an educator, administrator and consultant. The Basler Chair was created in 1994 in honor of a longtime member of the ETSU Foundation who is a strong advocate of numerous university programs. It brings scholars to ETSU to broaden opportunities for students and the general public in the arts, humanities and science.
Dr. Leonard is available for additional lectures, meetings and discussions with schools, churches and community organizations.
