American Folk Music Instructor

Ted Olson teaches courses in Appalachian music history. He is the music section editor for The Encyclopedia of Appalachia, the co-editor of The Bristol Sessions: Writings About the Big Bang of Country Music, a producer of several documentary collections of recordings from Appalachia, and the book series editor for the Charles K. Wolfe Music Series (University of Tennessee Press). Ted has received three Grammy Award nominations and has won an International Bluegrass Music Association Award for his work as a music historian.
