The Department of Media + Communication offers courses in Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and InDesign, (and soon Illustrator and After Effects) that lead to the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) credential. The ACA is the industry-recognized indicator of technical proficiencies in Adobe Creative Cloud programs. Full-time ETSU faculty and staff are eligible for full funding to underwrite participation in the programs—a $650 value per course—through the Education Assistance program Education Assistance program.
The beginner-level Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) courses includes 12 hours of instruction, a practice exam, and the actual certification exam. The first 4 hours (1st day) are delivered online, and the remaining 8 hours (2nd and 3rdday) are conducted onsite in Warf-Pickel Room 419. Course fees include all course materials, instructor fees, Adobe and ETSU swag, exam fees, and the option for a retake. Generally, beginner-level courses are intended for those learners who either have no experience using the software, or have not used it in the last 2-3 years.
Upcoming course dates are listed below. To register for one more of the upcoming ACA courses, click here. For more information about the program and/or registration, contact Dr. Chase Mitchell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
