Scott Devereaux joined the tuba section of the U.S. Army Field Band in 2014, and is a founding member of the progressive tuba cover band, Tubular. Throughout his career, Scott has appeared with ensembles such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony, the Baltimore Symphony, and the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as well as solo artists such as Rufus Wainwright and Chris Botti. Prior to joining the Field Band, he attended the Curtis Institute of Music, where he received an Artist Diploma in 2010, studying with Carol Jantsch and Paul Krzywicki. Devereaux also received a Bachelors of Music from the University of Michigan in 2008, where he studied with Fritz Kaenzig.
