Douglas Dotterweich is a Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Finance at East Tennessee State University. Professor Dotterweich attended the University of Tennessee where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He was awarded an MA from the University of Delaware in 1975. Dr. Dotterweich received his PhD. from the University of Delaware in 1978.
Dr. D has taught at ETSU since 1984. Prior to coming to ETSU, he worked as an Assistant Director of Regional Research at Morehead State University in Kentucky. At ETSU, Dr. Dotterweich has sponsored Beta Gamma Sigma and is currently involved in the Economics Club.
The courses Dr. D teaches include Quantitative Methods for Business II, Business Research Methods and Statistics-Honors, Urban and Regional Economics, and Data Analysis Modeling for Business-Graduate.
Douglas Dotterweich and his wife, Chris, have two children named Julie and Paul. Currently, they reside in Athens, Georgia. Dr. D continues to be active in church and sports. In his free time, he enjoys participating in outdoor activities.
