About this Conference: Wellmont CVA Heart Institute is pleased to present the 11th Annual Cardiovascular Summit to address the latest hot topics in the diagnosis, treatment and management of cardiovascular disease.

Target Audience: Family medicine physicians, internal medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical residents, TN and VA EMS, radiology technicians, and medical/nursing students
Overall Conference Objectives:

As a result of attending this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Evaluate preoperative risk assessment to reduce perioperative morbidity and mortality in non-cardiac patient procedures.
  • Review recent data and update on future advancements in heart valve therapies.
  • Recognize and analyze normal rhythms and rhythm disturbances in a primary care setting.
  • Summarize emerging therapies and pharmacological treatment options for heart failure patients.
