Incoming GME Trainee Orientation 2022
The East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine's Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) Resident Orientation will be held on Monday, June 20th, 2022 in the large auditorium located on the ground floor of Stanton-Gerber Hall on the VA Campus. A detailed agenda and a map will be provided via email in the coming weeks. If you have questions please call our GME office at (423) 439-8023.
Each specialty program will have scheduled training and events through June 30th. You will be notified by your respective program of the details.
A separate orientation will be provided to incoming fellow trainees who cannot arrive by that time due to commitment to their current training program.
****If you arrive in town prior to orientation please make an effort to come by the
GME office to complete the documents that must be completed in person to insure you
are cleared to begin working. You must bring a form of original identification (no
copies) for your I-9. (US passport is the easiest, attached is a list of other accepted
Acceptable Forms of ID for I-9
There is free parking during orientation week if you need to visit the GME office,
in Lot 51 located at the corner of Fifth Street and Memorial Avenue, beside the medical

Ballad Health Orientation:
Orientation for Ballad will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Orientation will be held in person at Johnson City Medical Center, 7th floor auditorium.
Time and details will be provided soon.
Veterans Administration Medical Center Orientation:VA Building 200
Orientation for the VA overview will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022, 8:00 am - 9:30am. Details regarding specific program orientations will be provided
by your program coordinator.
2022 Incoming Resident/Fellow Family Picnic
GME incoming resident and fellow family picnic will be Friday, June 24, 2022 from 12:00 - 3:00pm at the Rotary Park - London Pavillion.
