Tennessee Initiative for Perinatal Quality Care (TIPQC)
Project Description: TIPQC is a state perinatal quality collaborative. A number of pediatric faculty have or are currently participating in projects.
Pediatric Quality Improvement Curriculum
PI: Dr. Nathaniel Justice
Project Description: The Quality Improvement Curriculum introduces pediatric residents to fundamental concepts in quality improvement through a series of didactic sessions paired with workshops in which learners apply those concepts to a quality improvement project. This curriculum is designed to (1) fulfill the ACGME requirement for resident participation in quality improvement; (2) prepare learners to engage in quality improvement efforts for lifelong practice improvement and Maintenance of Certification; and (3) further quality improvement initiatives at Johnson City Medical Center and Niswonger Children's Hospital
Physician Healthcare Initiative in the State of Tennessee (PHiiT)
Champion Team Members: Dr. Gayatri Jaishankar, Beth Medlin, Dr. Mathew Tolliver, Debi Thibeault, Amy Shipley, & Bridgett Garland
Description: Statewide QI project led by the Tennessee American Academy of Pediatrics. The ETSU Clinic has participated for the last 1 ½ years through monthly phone calls and quarterly qualitative chart reviews.
