Students at East Tennessee State University's James H. Quillen College of Medicine can simultaneously pursue a master's degree from the ETSU College of Business and Technology in addition to their medical degree.
Students in this dual track, called the MD/MBA program will pursue a master's degree concentration through the ETSU College of Business and Technology while they are taking medical school courses. Students pursuing the MD/MBA programs must be concurrently enrolled in both program. MD applicants who are accepted into the MBA program and who do not have an undergraduate degree in a business field must successfully complete a self-guided online module-based program prior to enrolling in any of the following courses: BADM 5150 BADM 5180 BADM 5430 BADM 5500 and/or MKTG 5217. Access to the online modules will be available upon acceptance to the MD/MBA program.
Please note: Students applying to the MD/MBA Dual Degree Program must first have been accepted to the Quillen College of Medicine to be eligible for consideration. Applicants to the dual degree program must receive authorization from the Quillen College of Medicine Admissions Office prior to completing the program application. Important note: students seeking admission to this special program should be sure to choose the graduate school application for the combined MD/MBA program and NOT simply the MBA.
