The Clemmer College has determined that its Clinical Mental Health Counseling program curriculum meets the educational requirements for licensure and/or certification for the following states:
For all other states, the college has not yet made a determination whether the its Education Preparation Program curriculum meets state specific requirements for licensure and/or certification. The ETSU Clinical Mental Health Counseling program prepares students for licensure as a professional counselor with the mental health service provider designation (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee. The ETSU counseling program is CACREP accredited which provides an educational experience that exceeds state of Tennessee requirements and allows for easier transition to licensure in other states. Additionally, students can talk with their faculty advisors about planning a program of study that meets pre-licensure requirements in other states. Students may contact the state counseling licensing board to verify requirements, rules, and policies of the desired state.
