ETSU is extending the application deadline for its DrPH program through June 1.

East Tennessee State University’s College of Public Health is extending the application deadline for its Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program through June 1.

“As the original deadline approached, we received a number of late-cycle inquiries for applications,” said Dr. Mike Smith, interim coordinator of the Doctor of Public Health program. “While the public health workforce continues to evolve, the need for highly skilled, forward-thinking leaders remains and want to support those individuals considering a new chapter in their educational journey.”

ETSU’s DrPH program is on-ground and designed to prepare students for success in a variety of leadership roles in public health practice. Students have three concentrations to choose from:

  • Community Health
  • Epidemiology
  • Health Management and Policy

The DrPH program is available for full-time and part-time students, offering flexibility for working professionals looking to advance their education. In addition, the program does not require Graduate Record Examinations (GREs) to apply, removing a key barrier for applicants.

ETSU’s program has trained numerous graduates who have gone on to serve in leadership roles in health care organizations in this region and beyond – impacting health at a high level, and improving care.

By extending the application deadline, ETSU is committed to responding in real-time to workforce needs, providing students and working professionals more time to determine their next steps.

Applications should be submitted through SOPHAS before June 1 for admission for the Fall 2025 semester. To learn more, visit https://bit.ly/3XXdCjv or contact publichealth@etsu.edu.
