Reece Museum features ‘Work’ by ETSU Art and Design faculty

JOHNSON CITY (September 23, 2013) – “Work,” an exhibition featuring artworks by faculty of the East Tennessee State University Department of Art and Design,” will open Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Reece Museum.

“Work” includes paintings, drawings, sculpture, jewelry/metals, ceramics, fibers, photography, printmaking and graphic design by Don Davis, David Dixon, M. Wayne Dyer, Mira Gerard, Travis Graves, Joshua Greer, Mindy Herrin, Amanda Hood, Vanessa Mayoraz, Pat Mink, Catherine Murray, Peter Pawlowicz, Andrew Scott Ross, Ralph Slatton and Mike Smith.

A reception with the artists will be held Thursday, Sept. 26, from 5-7 p.m. at the museum.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.  Regular museum hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday; and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. 

Visitors to the Reece Museum, Archives of Appalachia and other offices of the ETSU Center for Appalachian Studies and Services will find three reserved parking spaces available on the east side of the museum at the end of Stout Drive.  Special permits to park in these spaces are available in the ETSU Parking Office at 908 W. Maple St.
