ETSU to host event on ‘Energy Efficiency: Putting Faith into Action’


JOHNSON CITY (October 18, 2013) — East Tennessee State University will host a presentation and discussion by Craig Foster on Monday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Brown Hall Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Foster is the founder and president of Foster Energy Management, as well as a technical consultant to Ohio Interfaith Power and Light through its Energy Stewards program.

The program will be followed by a candlelight climate vigil at 8:30 p.m. outside Brown Hall. Guests are encouraged to bring drums or other instruments to participate in the gathering.

The event is organized by the Green Interfaith Network Inc. (GINI), an East Tennessee Creation Care group dedicated to educating congregations about energy use reduction. Sponsors include the student Environmental Conservation Organization and ETSU’s Environmental Studies minor.
