ETSU student Jeff Cogburn joins Lambda Chi Alpha international board


JOHNSON CITY (November 13, 2013) — Jeff Cogburn, an East Tennessee State University senior, was recently elected vice chairman of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity’s International Student Advisory Committee, an office which places him on the Grand High Zeta, the overall governing board of the organization.

Cogburn traveled to Indianapolis as a representative of 15 of the fraternity’s chapters in the region and attended a board meeting of the international organization. During the meeting, he was selected for the committee position.

Cogburn, a Greeneville native, is studying economics, with a minor in leadership studies. He has served as vice president and academic chairman of both the campus chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha and of the Interfraternity Council, in addition to being a senator in the Student Government Association. He has also been chair of the Preview and Orientation Leaders Organization and is currently co-director of the President’s Pride student service honorary. A member of the ETSU Chorale and the Barbershop Quartet, he is vice president of the student Economics Club and a member of Gamma Sigma Alpha National Academic Greek Honor Society.
