National Alumni Association launches redesigned website

JOHNSON CITY (July 7, 2014) – The East Tennessee State University National Alumni Association has launched its newly redesigned website,

The association is committed to improving the quality of the alumni experience provided by the university, and the changes to the website are aimed at doing just that.

“We have worked to create this updated website to serve the growing family of ETSU alumni and friends with a one-stop site for service,” said Jeff Anderson, interim vice president for University Advancement.  “With this redesign, we are refreshing the look, as well as enhancing the alumni website capabilities.”

Featuring a prominent, rotating banner that highlights alumni events, the site allows users to find items of interest, as well as make online gifts with greater ease.  It also makes event registration easier, has links to all of ETSU’s social media sites in one location and has a streamlined change-of-address form that provides an efficient way to update alumni information.

In addition to the new custom desktop design, the website is optimized for mobile viewers.  The device detection capability recognizes the user’s screen size and switches the template used from desktop to mobile.  Also, the mobile template is equipped with flexible forms to allow mobile transactions.

“These new additions will allow for a better user experience for all, no matter the device they use to visit the site,” said Dr. Robert Plummer, executive director of the ETSU National Alumni Association.
