Staff Senate hosting annual Holiday Food Drive

NOTE: In the video above, Staff Senate President Josh Whitlock and Food Drive Chair Christina Collins discuss the process involved in conducting the annual food drive and the impact it has on the ETSU community and others.

The Holiday Food Drive is under way, and members of the ETSU family are invited to share with others through this annual campaign sponsored by the Staff Senate.

The Food Drive provides food for a Thanksgiving meal for members of the ETSU family who are in need, as well as a number of families in the community.

Faculty, staff and students may bring non-perishable food items to drop-off locations in nearly every building on the main ETSU campus, as well as off-campus locations at the VA Medical Center at Mountain Home and in Kingsport, Bristol and the Gray Fossil Site.

Monetary donations may also be made.  These will be used to purchase Food City gift cards to accompany each basket so that recipients may buy meats and other perishable items for their meals.  Checks may be made payable to ETSU and mailed to Chris Collins, chair of the Holiday Drive, at Box 70723.

Anyone who needs a holiday food basket may contact Collins at 439-4446 or to request one.  All calls and requests are confidential.
