The Mostly Online Post-DNP certificate program is designed for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree who seek academic preparation in a new concentration area.
The Post DNP certificate is designed to provide the necessary requirements to provide eligibility for national certification including didactic courses and practicum/clinical hours.

Program Of Study
The Post-DNP Certificate in Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner is designed to provide a broad knowledge through focused didactic and practicum/clinical experiences.
This program focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and healthcare management of for individuals age 13 through the elderly. This specialty area prepares nurse practitioners to care for the aging population in primary care settings.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will meet eligibility requirements for the national certification examination.

A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited institution is required for admission as a non-degree student in the Post-DNP Certificate Program. A Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution is required for admission as a non-degree student in the Post-Masters Certificate Program.
Applicants may apply online at www.etsu.edu/gradstud. After receiving notification of acceptance from the School of Graduate Studies, the student must contact the College of Nursing Office of Student Services (423-439-4578) for permission to register as a non-degree student. The College of Nursing may exclude non-degree students from designated courses.
