2016-2017 Legislative Events:
Voter's Registration Drive:
Our SNPhA Chapter collaborated with the student chapter of NCPA to conduct a voter registration drive on our campus. Information about the voter registration drive was also passed along to the medical school students. The event kicked off on September 19th and continued daily through September 23rd. We had three members work the table each day, providing voter registration materials and providing information for various states. There were 52 new voter registration forms completed. We also provided information and forms regarding absentee voting. If we did not have a voter registration form for a particular person, we would obtain it and provide it the next day.
Throughout the week, we provided voter registration services for the following states: California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Virgina.
Forms were addressed and stamped by the chapter and mailed to respective counties.
Those forms for our local county were delivered to the election clerk by hand.
