E-mail mentoring for Transfer and Adult Students is an exciting program that matches an existing ETSU
Student with the incoming Transfer or Adult student. The Mentor reminds the Mentee
of important academic dates and is available to answer questions that he/she might
hesitate to ask anyone expect a fellow Student or Peer. To participate in the program,
you can sign up during any Orientation or contact the Adult, Commuter, & Transfer
Services (A.C.T.S.) Office by phone at (423) 439-5641 or by email at ricejm@etsu.edu.

Tutoring - Located on the first floor of the Sherrod Library, the Center for Academic Achievement (CFAA) is the place to go for help with: writing and speaking, library research, math and other subjects
The center offers tutoring on a walk-in and appointment basis and is open during library hours, including nights and weekends. The Office of Learning Services offers a variety of services to suit the learning needs of a diverse student population. These include Research Help, "Just in Time" Help, Individual Tutoring, Group Tutoring, Online Tutoring, American English Training and New Media Help.
CFAA also proctors exams for selected courses. In addition to scheduling an appointment with a CFAA tutor, you can work on your homework in the center and if you need assistance, you can consult with a tutor in the center. The CFAA staff can also help students get answers to non-academic, college-related questions. For more information, click on the link below:

Disability Services- Disability Services offers qualifying students who register with our office a variety of accommodations and assistance. Their mission is to provide services and promote an accessible environment which allows people with disabilities an equal opportunity for participation in educational pursuits and other campus activities. Counseling Center- The primary mission of the Counseling Center is to provide assistance to students, helping them to succeed at the University and in life. The Center provides short-term, personal counseling. All currently enrolled ETSU students are eligible for services, which are free and confidential. In some situations they may need to refer students to more appropriate agencies or providers (e.g. presenting problem is beyond the expertise of the staff or is of a long-term nature). Student Support Services - Student Support Services (SSS), a federally funded TRiO program, which offers free tutoring as well as other types of academic support to students who qualify for the program. In order to be eligible for tutoring and other services through SSS, a student with academic need must be working on their first Bachelor's Degree, attend ETSU and be a U.S. citizen (or receiving federal funds to attend college). Students must also meet one of the following criteria:
- First generation (neither parent has completed a four-year degree program)
- Income eligible
- Documented disability
