National Eating Disorder Awareness Week

National Eating Disorder Awareness (NEDA) Week

The Basler Center for Physical Activity is proud to host National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, which is typically the last week of February, each year. The BCPA successfully hosted 2013 and 2014, and plans to continue this tradition. If you have any ideas, input, or suggestions for what you would like to see in the future, please email .

The mission of this program is to create awareness and understanding of eating disorders and negative body image and to decrease body dissatisfaction and to help those affected, by providing local and national resources. All ETSU students, faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to attend and participate in any of the week's events.  Campus organizations involved include: OASIS (Outreach and Advocacy Sexuality Information for Students) and the Counseling Center, University School, Buctainment, the Nutrition and Dietetics Department, and ETSU Group Fitness.
