The Computing Living-Learning Community (CLLC) is for freshman students interested in careers in Computing offered by ETSUs Department of Computer and Information Sciences. The goal of the CLLC is to prepare students intellectually, professionally, and socially as they begin their journey both at ETSU and in the Department of Computing. Activities in the CLLC will include guest presentations, social gatherings, study sessions for freshmen level Computing courses, and an opportunity to connect with other like-minded students with a passion for computing. Freshman may apply to the CLLC, and will be accepted if they meet the application requirements.
The Computing Living-Learning Community is a partnership of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences within the College of Business and Technology and the Department of Housing and Residence Life.
- Must have freshman status at ETSU and apply as an incoming student.
- Declared Computing as the students major.
- A willingness to participate in activities and events coordinated by the community.
- Complete a CLLC application (closed for 2015-16) and receive formal acceptance.
- Enrolled in the designated section of CSCI 1250 for the Fall term.

Community Coordinator Bio
Greetings! My name is Stephen Hendrix and I am an Instructor with the Department of Computing here at ETSU. At ETSU, I have the honor and privilege to teach courses in Management Information Systems and Web Design and Development. I graduated with my B.S. in Computer and Information Sciences in 2003 and my M.S. in Computer and Information Sciences in 2005.
I am blessed to be married to my beautiful wife Valerie since 2007. We have two red headed, Frozen obsessed daughters Hailey and Brooklyn.
