Scheduling the Accuplacer Exam


The ACCUPLACER test is a computerized test and is not timed. 


  • Students who wish to challenge their placement in Learning Support may do so by taking the ACCUPLACER test prior to the beginning of the term. Students who have previously enrolled in a Learning Support lab and failed to complete the requirements may not challenge Learning Support Program placement. Students who have previously enrolled in a Developmental Studies Program course and failed to complete the course may not challenge their placement by taking the ACCUPLACER test. A $30.00 non-refundable fee is charged for the challenge. This fee must be paid by debit or credit card and is due on the day the test is scheduled. Prior to testing, students must contact the University Advisement Center to schedule the test. Placement may only be challenged once.

  • Photo ID Required on day of test. Only calculators supplied by the University Testing Center may be used for Mathematics test.

  • Students who are required to take the Accuplacer test for initial placement in Learning Support courses are not required to pay the $30.00 fee.

Following are the cut-off scores that need to  be met in order to  be exempt  from Learning Support classes:

Reading - 250

English - 250

Math - 250
