Driver Education Class

Update:  The remaining DE classes for 2018 and the new schedule for 2019:

drivers ed schedule

Additional, the knowledge test is no longer administered by Driver Training Inc. and is only available at the Department of Motor Vehicles. Unfortunately, the test has become much more difficult. The class would benefit all students to help them prepare for the knowledge test. We still continue to administer the road test.

Driver Training, Inc., Safety Cooperative Driver Testing Program (CDTP) certified, offers Tennessee DOS approved driving instruction in the classroom and behind-the-wheel that meets DOS of Tennessee requirements. Being CDTP certified allows us to administer the road skills test after completing the course for driver education. You can avoid the three month waiting list at the Department of Safety. Driver Training Inc. is the only CDTP approved school within the Tri-cities.

In the past, Driver Training, Inc. has offered a class over the fall break and one over the spring break.  However, now Mrs. Walling, with Driver Training, Inc., has expanded their course offerings so that it is not just offered during our break, but it’s over several weeks and open to other students too.  The classes take place in a building on the ETSU campus, not University School.
