The ETSU Outstanding Alumni awards were initiated by former Alumni Director Basil Maltsberger (deceased), who came on board January 1970. They were first presented at the annual August Luncheon, honoring the members of the August graduating class of 1970. The biographical sketches on each honoree are taken from information at the time of each award presentation.
