Biological Science Majors
Hello students! Welcome to the College of Arts and
Sciences Biological Sciences Advisement web site. This web site is designed to assist you with the academic advisement process as a Biology major. If you do not find the answer to your questions on this web site, please contact your advisor for further assistance.
The individual advisor that you must see for help and
advisement with the Biology requirements depends on your
specific completed and pending courses, not the number of
credit hours you have earned. Joanna Cyrier will be advising
those students who need to complete the Biology core
requirements for General Biology, Secondary Biology Education, and Biochemistry. Her contact information is listed below on the right. Please click here to find out where you will need to be advised for the Biology major.
Those students who have completed the Biology core
requirements for General Biology and Biochemistry need to
meet with an advisor in the Department of Biological
Sciences. Your specific advisor can be found on the Department of Biological Sciences web site link on the left on this page. Please see the Student Advisement link on the left of the web page for a detailed description of the Biology core requirements.
Please contact the main Biology office if you want to request a permit for a course. Remember that a permit may not be available for a specific course. The main Biology office number is 423-439-4329.
Please be aware that those students who are entering ETSU in the fall of 2011 and forward as new or transfer students to the university will not be able to count AP credit towards the Biology major. If you have questions about this, please speak with your advisor.
