Doug's If-You-Want-To-Get-A -Date-You-Better-Damn-Well-Learn-How-To-Do-A-Quiche Quiche
What Goes In It:
Pastry crust (get a frozen one)
ham or Canadian bacon: small cubes (You can use spinach or veggies, in a veggie quiche)
1 medium onion: minced
1 cup of Swiss (or a similar) cheese
4 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups of heavy cream
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. white pepper
What to do:
Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees.
Bake crust five minutes, or according to directions.
Saute ham and onions. When a little cool, put in crust.
Mix eggs, cream, and seasonings.
Pour over ham, onions, and shredded cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes, or until an inserted knife blade comes out clean (no liquid).
