How do I use Scribe?
Scribe is a complex and yet simple tool. Without going Zen on you, I simply want you to understand that the program can seem mystifying at first, but as you use it that veil will soon fall away. As you use the program you will become aware of its strengths, and there are many, but you will also become aware of its weaknesses. Ultimately you will have to compensate for the weakness. You do this by learning the program and the Turabian style manual. Only then can you master Scribe, grasshopper...sorry that is another movie...
Where do I start?
Access the zip disk with the uncompressed Scribe program. It should look look the example below.

Double left click the Scribe.exe program and it will open the program to it's start page. The start page is shown below.

From this page you can access the "Help" page. Roll the mouse over the word "Help" and click the left mouse button. The help page will appear like the one shown below.
From this page the Help guide can be printed or an outline of various topics can be accessed. Print out the help guide the first time you access the program and spend a few moments getting accustom to the terms. To browse the Help topics select the "View All Topics" button. The Help topic menu is shown below.

Below you will find a list that corresponds with the Help topics. Each of the categories will be linked to additional help information. I will offer "a" way of using Scribe, it is not necessarily the best way or even the most effective way. As you learn the program you will develop different methods, but below you can find "a" way to accomplish most of the tasks needed to operate Scribe.
